I think it is a good idea to spend a bit of time making notes about what
you need to do during the restoration.
Some jobs you may want to do yourself,
some you may want to hand to a specialist. Use your phone book to look for potential
contacts such as chrome plating , powder coaters, bead Blaster’s, welders, tool hire etc.
Ask yourself what the car is going to be used for. If it is for a collection
the restoration technique may be different from if the car were for a child to use.
This is because if the car is going to be used, there is a good chance it will get damaged,
chipped, scratched and dented. You should bear this in mind, as perfecting the car will
take allot of time and effort, but may be unperfected in only a few minutes by a child.
It is also a good time to make a list of parts that are missing and gather information on the car. I have included a useful contacts list in this web site. If you have any useful contacts of your own please mail them to me and i will add them in.
